This is a reminder from Concierge Sedation Associates that your child is scheduled for a dental procedure under anesthesia MONDAY. Please review the pre-anesthesia instructions below. You will also receive a call from our anesthesiologist to answer any questions you may have about your child’s procedure. Please note, any balance due at the end of MONDAY's procedure will be charged to the credit card on file. We look forward to caring for your child.
Pre-Anesthesia Instructions:
Patients should have nothing to eat or drink after MIDNIGHT the night before the procedure. The morning of, patient is not allowed to eat or drink anything including, water, coffee, etc., unless specifically instructed by your anesthesiologist.
Any medications to be taken or omitted should be directed by your anesthesiologist. The doctor will call and review these instructions with you. Please follow them thoroughly.
Wear loose comfortable clothing: loose-fitting pants and a short-sleeved T-shirt is the preferred choice. Do not bring any extra jewelry, wear excessive makeup, or bring accessories to the appointment.
Please call us if you/your child presents with any flu-like symptoms (cough, congestion, fever, runny nose) prior to the scheduled appointment.
If the patient wear contacts, please wear glasses for the appointment.
Children aged 6 and under are required to bring two (2) pull-ups and an extra pair of clothes. The pull-up is required to be worn by the child during the procedure in the event the child soils themselves (which is a common occurrence). Please do not dress your child in stockings.
Patients often get cold under sedation. Please bring a lightweight warm washable blanket.
PARENTS: The morning of, please keep a watchful eye on your child and ensure they do not consume anything, unless specifically directed by your anesthesiologist. If your child consumes ANYTHING, it can jeopardize their safety and will result in cancellation of the appointment. Please bring an extra pair of clothes to the appointment and small blanket for your child’s recovery. We recommend having 2 adults to help carry your child from the office to the car. It is preferred there are no siblings/other children with you in attendance.
